How does a radiator work?
Hot coolant flows from the engine into the radiator’s upper tank, then through thin cooling tubes surrounded by heat-dissipating fins. As air passes over these fins (via radiator fans or vehicle motion), heat is expelled. Cooled liquid returns to the engine via the lower tank, creating a continuous coolant circulation loop. Modern radiators feature high-efficiency cores and aluminum construction for maximum heat exchange capacity and corrosion resistance.
